Current position?

I’m a Global Tax Manager here in Immedis.

The job that launched my career in tax?
Initially I went to university where I discovered that I found personal tax advisory really interesting. It all happened from there.

Why I chose to work in tax?

It is a challenging job which I very much enjoy. Many of my colleagues think the same way – if you are the type of person who loves facing a challenge, it can be really thrilling!

What I’m working on today?

UK tax compliance is on the front of my list at the moment. However, I’m also advising one of our clients on how to efficiently set-up remuneration structures in Spain and Belgium and remunerate individuals they would like to employ. There’s never a boring moment.

What I bring to international/country tax industry?

I think you have to be really open-minded and inquisitive naturally. Attention to detail and keeping on top of the latest global tax trends are a must as well.

My defining career moment/high point?

All my moments have been career defining as long as I’m able to learn and help our clients.

My toughest career challenge in tax?

I don’t have a specific challenge that stands out personally. All challenges are unique and provide an opportunity for one to learn from them and overcome them. It’s all about mindset

My biggest industry influence?

I thought about this for a while and although I don’t have one specific industry influence, I have greatly benefited from both past and current colleagues and I’m grateful for that.

Best tax & payroll innovation/development?

I’m biased because I’m going to say iConnect! Other than that, I don’t know to be honest.

My ambition/vision?

To continuously provide top notch service to our clients and keep abreast of the most recent developments in Tax worldwide!

Where do you see tax & payroll five years from now?

To some extent it will be digitalised, which in most of the cases will be driven by national tax administrations which will be a result of the exchange of information between many countries.

However, I still believe that the human element will be there, and we will face the same challenges but from different perspective perhaps.

An interesting fact about me…

I am a keen skier and swimmer, and I also play the guitar and drums (a bit).
